Citroen C-ZERO (2010)
Citroën rolled-out their latest car – Citroen C-ZERO. The C-ZERO is 100% electric vehicle measures 3.48m-long city car is based on the Mitsubishi i-MiEV as well as sister company Peugeot’s iOn. The C-ZERO applies a permanent magnet synchronous motor attaining 47kW (64bhp) between 3,000rpm and 6,000rpm.
Peak power is 180Nm produced between 0 and 2,000rpm. A 330-volt lithium-ion battery comprised of 88 50Ah cells for onboard energy of 16kWh feeds the motor. The whole system works with a single-speed reducion gear transferring power to the rear wheels. Performance figures are 15 seconds for the 0 – 100km/h sprint while a range of about 130km (80 miles) is anticipated.
