Kia has recently rolled out their latest 2011 Kia Optima sedan at the New York Auto Show. The 2011 Kia Optima is the most powerful D-segment model ever acquired by the Kia, features 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that develops 278ps. The 2011 Kia Optima will also be available with the following engines: 1.7-litre VGT CRDi, 2.0-litre CVVL petrol and 2.4-litre MPI petrol in Europe. For the rest of the world, the 2011 Kia Optima will be offered with the following engines: 2.0-litre MPI 165 ps, 2.4-litre MPI 178 ps, 2.4-litre GDI 203 ps.

The Kia also announced that it will offer the 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid powered by a 2.4-litre Hybrid engine.

Scheduled to be launched in Australia late quarter four, Kia Motors Australia can confirm the model previously known as Magentis, will now be called Optima. Australian specifications and pricing are still under consideration.
